"The Telegraph" : Melania Trump pays sartorial tribute to China as she greets President Xi Jinping and his stylish wife, Peng Liyuan

Since her husband's Inauguration in January, Melania Trump has maintained a relatively low public profile, appearing on just a clutch of key occasions. But this week has been a busy one for the First Lady. All these public appearances mean that the First Lady's fashion strategy is becoming ever clearer, and no look has epitomised her approach better than the £3000 Valentino red dress which she chose for last night's dinner with President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan, who is known for her elegantly ladylike look. Kicking off with the release of her official White House portrait - which sparked controversy thanks to her decision to wear Dolce and Gabbana, rather than an American designer - and continuing with her taking part in the politically and sartorially high level visits of the King and Queen of Jordan, and now the Chinese President and his wife.

A few weeks before the 2016 election, Ivanka Trump and Tiffany Trump visited Inlet Grove High School in Riviera Beach. A Chinese official told your pooler, developing friendship between Madame Peng and Mrs. Trump is also an important goal. Last but not least, some reporter friends asked your pooler about whether people called Madame Peng "First Lady" in China? At one point, there was a ten-year-old boy student talked with Madame Peng, the boy was from China. Madame Peng talked nicely in Mandarin Chinese to the boy for a while, yet your pooler couldn't hear clearly about their conversation.
